Alistair Hood,

I’ve been here since the start, in July 2012. The idea of helping grow the company from scratch was exciting, bringing new levels of responsibility and freedom. I have extensive technical experience across multiple sectors, including residential, commercial and retail, in different countries including the UK, Ireland, New Zealand and Canada. In 2014, I completed a BArch to focus on the concept and design development elements of projects. 

I love being part of the MDLR studio culture. No matter the size of the project, everyone’s input is valued at every level and we’re always learning from each other. My goal for the future is to complete the BS:ISO-19650 – BIM Level 2 certification, so we can improve the quality and accuracy of our design and construction information. We’ll be able to work smarter, with more time to spend on the design aspects of architecture and not the production of information.
